In 2025 I began a new series of small studies in gouache on paper exploring pattern and colour called (Un)folded. Whereas recent work included a physical ‘folding’ of the surface of the paper or substrate, these works were flat. The spatial elements in the works were illusory and allowed me to explore the push and pull of colour and pattern.
